Canvas Tote — "Proud Parent of a Refrigerator Pet" Cute Kawaii Sourdough Starter Jar Grocery Bag

Because Some of Us Have Pets That Live in Jars

Proud Parent of a Refrigerator Pet

Some people have cats. Some have dogs. And some of us have a bubbling jar of flour and water living in the refrigerator that needs feeding, occasional attention, and a name.

If you've ever apologized to your sourdough starter for forgetting to feed it, planned your weekend around baking bread, or discussed your starter's health like it's a member of the family, this bag was made for you.

Featuring an adorable, happy sourdough starter tucked among wildflowers, wheat, and blue gingham, our Proud Parent of a Refrigerator Pet tote celebrates the wonderfully peculiar relationship between sourdough bakers and their living, breathing kitchen companions.

And unlike most pets, this one actually helps make dinner.

A Little Practical Magic for Everyday Adventures

Made from 100% certified organic cotton, this roomy canvas tote is ready for farmers markets, grocery runs, library visits, and trips to the local flour mill. It's sturdy enough for everyday errands, comfortable to carry, and cute enough to start conversations with complete strangers about what you've named your starter.

What Makes This Bag Worth Carrying

• 100% certified organic ring-spun cotton: Natural fabric with a lovely, earthy texture.

• Durable 9 oz canvas: A medium-heavy fabric that holds up to everyday use.

• Roomy single compartment: Plenty of space for groceries, books, bread-making supplies, or whatever treasures you bring home.

• Reinforced cotton handles: Comfortable for carrying over your shoulder.

• Whimsical sourdough artwork: A cheerful little reminder that homemade things are worth celebrating.

• Natural cotton color: Complements the watercolor-inspired artwork and goes with just about everything.

For the Baker Who Names Their Starter

This tote makes a thoughtful gift for sourdough enthusiasts, home bakers, homesteaders, bread-making beginners, and that friend who proudly shows everyone pictures of their starter's latest rise.

It's also a pretty wonderful gift to yourself.

At Hobo Homesteading, we believe there's something deeply satisfying about making things with your own two hands, learning old-fashioned skills, and finding a little joy in the everyday.

Use what you've got. Grow what you can. Make a life you love.

And don't forget to feed your refrigerator pet.
